Based on the fundamental objective of "preventing and mitigating the potential damages that disasters and accidents may cause to society and the environment, thereby contributing to ensuring the safety of life and property of the public," the mission of Kütahya Dumlupınar University Disaster and Emergency Management Education, Application and Research Center is; to carry out scientific, educational, and applied activities at urban, regional, national, and international levels regarding the core components of the Disaster and Emergency Management process—namely occurrence, protection (risk and mitigation, preparedness), and recovery (response and rehabilitation)—in all types of disasters and accidents, through the joint collaboration of the relevant academic and administrative units of the University and, when necessary, in cooperation with public institutions, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations.

The vision of the Center is; to become one of the most respected institutions contributing to ensuring the safety of life and property of society at urban, regional, and national levels through academic, educational, and operational studies to be conducted in the field of disaster and emergency management.
